She kept following me, and when I left my friends, she followed me home. My family has allowed me to keep her for now, but my aunt in NJ is involved with dog rescue and has been helping us try to find its home. We followed my aunts instructions, and so far we have had no luck. She had a collar with no tags, we had her scanned, but there was no microchip. She is well tempered, and beautiful, so she obviously belongs with someone. We placed a missing classified on petfinder.com and we called all of the local police, shelter and rescue groups. So far, no one has contacted us to claim her. My aunts name is Doreen, and I have cc.d her on this email. She is in Denver visiting us this week, and said that the dog is definitely in the Japanese Spitz family, so we have been on the internet looking thru breeds, and we believe she is an Ainu Inu. After looking thru Google, we found your website. Is there any way you can help or guide us to locate her family. Thank you for any help you can provide. Tony, Doreen and Hay-Ki-Na (our name for her) If you have any information about a dog, fitting to the above description, who is missing please send us and email and we forward the information to Tony, Doreen and Hay-Ki-Na.

MISSING DOG IN HOLLAND, OHIO This is a cry for help that touched us so deeply. We found it elsewhere on the internet with the request to post it anywhere to help and locate Thunder who has been missing for over 2 years already. We hope this will help to bring Thunder finally back to her family.
Still Looking! Missing since June 29, 2001: Holland, Ohio
It was a Friday night in Holland, OH, June 29, 2001. We had just put in a new pool. The fence was not complete around the pool. Thunder, our faithful companion of 7 years, had her collar off. She had just finished swimming in her pool. Just as it started to become night the pre 4th of July celebration had begun. It was loud: the noise of fire crackers and even a neighbors gun shots. Thunder had disappeared. Our family searched day and night. It has been over 2 years but we know she is still out there. Where is she? Is she being treated properly? She has entered her senior years, will whoever has our baby soon tire of her? Who has knowledge of our missing family member? Thunder is a beautiful black dog, was beginning to grey slightly, mostly around her mouth. She is approx 50lbs, now is about 9 years old. Looks similar to a Golden Retriever, but BLACK and not quite as heavy, or an Irish Setter, again BLACK and not quite as tall. She was shy but friendly, great with small children, and an all around family dog, but especially loved her Daddy. She loved to swim but did not really enjoy a bath. She loved to go Bye-Bye. She was not really afraid of other canine companions but did not especially like them, she would foam at the mouth slightly, at the veterinarians office she would hide behind the chairs. She had 2 cats of her own and got along fine with them. LARGE REWARD! 419-867-3951 ssandv@aol.com Please post anyplace which you may believe may help us to locate Thunder!
